Harry W. Black, age 80 of Ross Twp., on Sunday, May 7, 2006 in Forbes Hospice. Born in Crafton, PA on March 13, 1926, son of the late George E. & Flora (Lippert) Black. In addition to his parents, Mr. Black was preceded in death by his son, Robert W. Black; a brother, Edward Black and two sisters, Florence McMahon & Nina Fritsch.
Beloved husband for 57 years of Lois (Monroe) Black; Grandfather of Danielle & Nicholas Black, both of West View and Uncle of Thomas McMahon & James Fritsch.
Family will welcome friends on Wednesday from 2-9 p.m. at Schellhaas Funeral Home, Inc., 388 Center Avenue in West View. Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, May 11, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Teresa of Avila Church. Interment in North Side Catholic Cemetery.
Harry worked for the Pittsburgh Press for 42 years in circulation as a Route Manager, was a member of the American Legion Post #161 in Wexford. He proudly served our country as Radarman 1st Class in the U.S. Navy during WWII.
