Perhaps the hardest part when losing a loved one is when the funeral is over and relatives and friends are not around as we might need them. Emotions may get the best of us and sometimes we look for help.

This is why we are consistently in contact with our families, sending grief literature and remembrance bookmarks within days of the funeral service and providing follow up phone calls weeks and months following a loss. Below is a short list of support services offered to all families following a death.

  1. Community Candlelit Celebration of Life Vigils.
  2. Follow-Up phone calls.
  3. Laminated Bookmark Memorials.
  4. Lofty Oaks Reforestation Efforts in Memoriam.
  5. Grief support mailing.
  6. Perpetual family care and on call support all day and every day.

Holiday Healings
The holidays are perhaps the most difficult time as we reflect upon memories shared and look ahead to a changed life. Schellhaas is there to help these moments by providing holiday healing information each and ever holiday season.

Community Celebration Memorial
A candlelight vigil is held each spring to celebrate the lives of our loved ones and to share experiences with others in common situations of loss. Held in two convenient locations, West View Firemen's Building or Hampton Banquet Hall, communities unite to honor and remember their family members.
