Helpful Advice for Your Family

Schellhaas Funeral Home provides high quality burial vaults, cremation vaults, cemetery markers, and monuments, just as major memorial parks and cemeteries, including those under the catholic cemeteries association. They provide these products along with their main function of selling plots, landscaping cemetery grounds, and providing opening and closing services at the time of a death.

It is important to understand that under Pennsylvania law, no cemetery can sell or arrange funeral services, such as visitation times and church services. For the protection of the consumer, only a licensed funeral director can arrange for these matters. A licensed funeral director is the expert for your merchandise needs as well, from monuments to vaults.

The difference at Schellhaas is clear, with significant savings and service, a member of our family and staff is always available to answer questions, with the personal family touch you expect.

Another difference between the Schellhaas family and a large cemetery or memorial park is we work off salary, consistently providing high quality care to each and every family, whereas cemetery workers are paid on commission based off of what products are sold. This is why you may have been interrupted as a victim of cemetery telemarketing during weekends and evenings.

While Schellhaas’ availability and costs are the same 365 days a year, there exists additional fees at large memorial parks and cemeteries for burial on Saturday’s and holiday’s, as much as $300.00 dollars extra! It is important to understand cost structure of your cemetery.
